In the spring of 2014, Water4 trained Rwandan scholars at Oklahoma Christian University, who then transferred their knowledge to 10 Rwandan young people during a summer-long apprenticeship. One of them was Christelle Kwizera.

Christelle, a mechanical engineer, leads Water Access Rwanda, a successful social enterprise that focuses on supplying Rwanda with clean and accessible water using the Water4 method.Christelle is a rising leader and social entrepreneur, and recipient of the 2014 MILEAD Fellowship Award.

In June, she travelled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where she trained several Water4 drill teams in VES geological surveying, a technique she has mastered and monetized in Rwanda to help teams identify potential underground water sources and the existence of hard rock before drilling.
